REVIEW
Grade: B-
So, I am not really an Action movie buff, and usually end up not liking action films, Conan the Barbarian on the other hand was actually quite enjoyable for me. There were some cheesy lines and awkward moments that make you go “huh?” but the action was pretty good. Jason Momoa does a very good job portraying Conan, and really gives him the edge and ruggedness that one would imagine from a burly, violent Sumerian barbarian bent on avenging the death of his people. While the romance wasn’t nearly as built up as I’d hoped it would be, I still enjoyed the movie.
Disclaimer: My review is written in my own personal opinion of the film.

Conan
(Jason Momoa)

Other Actors that were considered for the lead role of Conan include The Twilight Saga’s Kellan Lutz (bottom left) and Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki (bottom right). I think Jason Momoa was the perfect choice for Conan because he gives you that ruggedness and “Don’t mess with me” attitude, but both of the actors below are great too and I’m sure would have done a fantastic job as well. In a way, I can see Jared playing the role of Conan too. :]

Kellan Lutz (The Twilight Saga)

Jared Padalecki (Supernatural)

Romance, Action, Awesomeness, all wrapped up into one movie. You can bet I am buying it on DVD/Blu-Ray when it comes out!

Conan the Barbarian looks very intriguing. Nice review. And love Jared Padalecki from Supernatural.
